Modern

Modern Dance was created to break away from the strict structure of ballet, using technique and positions more natural for the body. Modern performances tend to be unconventional and abstract while portraying strong emotions or themes. In this class, we will be learning the basics of modern technique. Dancers will explore the use of breath, articulation, power and stillness to create interesting, dynamic movement.
