Jazz

Jazz is very energetic and upbeat form of dance using turns, jumps, flexibility and overall performance quality to show technique. This is the style of dance you often see in music videos, commercials and television. Jazz provides strength and flexibility training for the dance.

In Junior Jazz, dancers will learn basic jazz steps and technique. Base skills such as footwork and isolations will be used to better the dancers understanding of movement timing. Through to Senior Jazz, we will be spending some time on CDTA syllabus. We'll be strengthening technique as well as the artistic/individualistic aspects of Jazz dance.

Pre-requisite: Ballet, Stretch/Progression - Starting at the Intermediate Level
